Building Inspections
A pre-purchase building and pest inspection is a visual appraisal of the condition of a property that highlights existing defects, evidence of timber pest activity, and areas of concern for structural damage and conditions conducive to pest attack and pest entry into a building.
During a Building Inspection, the inspector will look for evidence of water staining, mould, or deterioration caused by water ingress that could affect the property’s condition. The property’s safety standards will be inspected, and any areas of concern that do not meet code will be noted. Building inspections detect issues such as safety hazards, major defects, and minor defects that are present at the time of the inspection. When performing a Building Inspection, we look for Major and Minor Defects that have the potential to cause damage or a significant decline in the current condition of the inspected property.
Building inspections are thorough, and reports are detailed, including photos and annexures that explain findings. Jason is a licenced Building Inspector who has the experience, knowledge, and tools to identify issues that may not be obvious to the untrained eye at first. It is highly recommended that a Building Inspection be completed prior to finalising the purchase of a property to avoid costly mistakes caused by ill-informed decisions.

The Termatrac T3i All Sensor, which uses radar, moisture, or thermal detection, is one piece of equipment we carry. For added assurance, the innovative 3-in-1 design incorporates Termatrac’s patented radar technology, relative and direct moisture sensors, and a thermal sensor. The T3i All Sensor was created to assist operators in detecting, verifying, and tracking the presence and extent of termite and other pest activity. We use this equipment to inspect accessible areas like walls, floors, and ceilings for timber pests, leaks, or potential excess and unexplained moisture.
The Tramex ME5 Moisture Meter measures moisture levels on surfaces such as cabinetry, drywall, plaster, and masonry in real time. This non-invasive equipment provides a detailed understanding of any surfaces on the property that need to be investigated further. If a high moisture reading is found, your inspection report will detail the exact location(s) where the high moisture was found and recommend appropriate trades.
The Flir C3 Thermal Imaging Camera is ideal for locating water leaks and determining what is causing the water ingress. Thermal imaging is converted into a picture using this powerful device.
